Reflections on turning another year older

If you saw my late post yesterday (is the forgetfulness kicking already?), I turned another year older last Saturday. Two of my children got me a special card/booklet that tells what was going on back in 1958 (you know you're getting older when it takes longer and longer to scroll to that birth year on those online forms!). I still, to this day, have not seen this movie; although I did see it as a play here in Rochester's Civic Theater.

I remember the taste of these; Mom would have some in her purse and if I got restless during church, she would give me one, hoping that would calm me down. Right! I got restless a lot!

Having a daughter who is about to present us with our first grand-baby, I find this particularly fascinating…and want to go out and buy her some Mennen!

Wow! I shouldn't complain when I see my kids texting or talking on their cell phones. It was being promoted way back in '58!
